Resort Information
Zermatt is one of the most impressive locations in the world, surrounded by three of Europe's highest mountains, the Monte Rosa, Dom and the Matterhorn. The village itself is a delight for the senses with narrow chalet-lined streets full of shops, boutiques and mouth-watering pastry shops. Traffic-free, you can enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride around town or take one of the electric taxis if required. Zermatt will capture your imagination with its mountain railways, high alpine meadows full of flowers and the many walking trails with spectacular views.
Walking
Zermatt is a walkers paradise with over 400km of hiking trails through fragrant pine and larch forests, past glaciers and mountain lakes. Our Walking Escort will provide two days accompanied walks per week to help you discover the area. You can also make full use of the cable cars so you can experience the views and lakes of the area without too much hiking! (see away days for prices or pre-book a peak pass).
Peak Pass This pass gives you unlimited trips on the 4 main lifts in Zermatt (Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, Schwarzsee Paradise, Rothorn Paradise and Gornergrat) as well as entrance to the Glacier Palace. Perfect for keen walkers the peak pass gives you the freedom to explore the hiking trails at your leisure.

Activities
There are a wealth of activities in Zermatt. Several activity companies organise glacier hikes, paragliding and mountain bike tours. In the village there is a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, a climbing wall and a mini-golf course. Families can enjoy a host of fun activities including summer husky adventures (where the huskies pull a cart instead of a sledge!), mule treking, and the summer forest fun park - a tree top adventure.
